As a new mother, I’m quite positive that you would want to spend your time with your new bundle of joy than having to go to the gym to work off that baby weight.

The first step you can do is to control what you put into your body. During pregnancy and post pregnancy your body is going through several hormonal stages. You will see some changes in your body after childbirth because your hormone levels are trying to get back to the way they were. You will experience all these food cravings because of your change in hormones. Since your not pregnant, you can’t use the excuse your eating for two anymore. To control your cravings, you need to monitor that amount of sugar your taking in and stabilize it. Eat small meals and frequently as the day goes by. You have a greater chance at weight loss if you eat 5-6 small meals a day vs. the traditional 2-3 meals.
Second, breast feeding can help you lose weight too. There really is a good reason to to why you gain weight during your pregnancy. Your body needs fat to help you lactate. If you breast feed, you can lose up to 500-700 calories a day. Breast feeding is a great way to bond with your child and the most rewarding way to burn calories.
Third, you can go for a walk in your neighborhood with your new baby. Your neighbors and friends are probably all dying to see your new baby, so instead of having them come to visit you, why not get some exercise and put your child in a stroller and walk all over the neighborhood to show him or her off. Instead of having your friends and neighbors come over, put your baby in the stroller and go for a walk around the block to meet the neighborhood . Walking is a fast exercise for weight loss, walking can also help you deal with the stress of being a new mother if this is done everyday.
Don’t forget it’s not crucial for your to lose pregnancy weight fast. Having a baby takes a big toll on your body, try to pace losing weight. For the sake of your baby and yourself, you would want to lose weight as safe and natural as you can. Losing weight safely and naturally is a great way to have a healthy motherhood. Be patient and soon you will fit back into all your clothes before you were pregnant.
