  4. Lara high fat, low carb, not counting calories usually works better than a calorie restrictive diet. I understand everyone is different but the science is there on this. I eat 2500 calories of high fat a day and I’ve lost 88lbs so far and still losing.

  5. Lisa Wilkinson the cooking spray and taco seasoning I agree with but pouring the fat in there is necessary. You need that fat content. I’m just like why pour hot food into a plastic container though?

  6. Antoinette Dalal Yes, but you might want to add some fats to those meals like avocados or something. As long as you are eating food and keeping your net carbs under 50g you will most likely always be in ketosis. You can get ketone strips to be sure. And this lifestyle is not about calories in and out. You can find literature on that online. I’ve been on it three years and eat almost 2500 calories per day and have lost 88lbs. It’s good for a regular cut too if you’re already at an ideal weight but want muscle to peak through.

  8. There is actually an entire website about vegan keto meals! I know Lactose intolerance doesn’t mean vegan, but vegan does mean no stomach pain! (fellow lactose intolerant here!) The website is 🙂 (but like, of course you can still eat meat)

  11. People watching this will probably get angry, but I’ll say it anyway. If you combine a whole food vegan diet with intermitted fasting (16 hours) you will lose weight like crazy. Keto is nice and all, but it requires you to cut carbs, you know, the thing your brain needs to function properly. I lost weight both on keto and as a vegan. The vegan way is easier, but people tend to overdo it. Alot of vegans look underweight to me. On keto I was always hungry when going to bed. For me personally, the vegan way was better.

    And were you calorie counting?
    Did you eat cheese?

  13. I don’t know if I could go vegan, because I love dairy… but I could most surely go vegetarian because I really don’t like eating too much meat. I prefer carbs, which unfortunately seem to keep me overweight. I don’t know what diet to do… there is so much conflicting information out there!!!!
